Johnny has achieved many notable accomplishments as a General Contractor, one is being the first African-American contractor to construct a bridge in the City of Shreveport. Johnny is now a qualified general contractor licensed to do work throughout the Southern Region. Mr. Horton brings valuable wisdom and knowledge (to a project) (to the company) that could only be obtained through decades of experience. His time in the business proves priceless as issues often arise that require practical know-how versus the methodological solutions frequently sought. Johnny has an associate’s degree in Business Administration. With over 23 years of experience with Horton Construction Johnny Horton Jr. is able to manage project and people with detailed accuracy in order achieve successful job performance. Johnny completed the 30 hour OSHA training and is the company’s Safety and Health Officer. He has also completed U.S. Army Corp of Engineer’s Construction Quality Management for Contractors Course. He is a Licensed Journeyman Ironworker and is skilled in rebar placement and blue-print reading. Johnny Jr. is the heartbeat of Horton Construction; his passion is contagious and sets the tempo for the entire company. He has relentless enthusiasm for execution and productivity. It is his ambition that always completes projects on time. Chauncy Horton is a Project Manager. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University’s College of Engineering with a concentration in Construction Management. He has over 5 years experience in project supervision and contract documentation. Chauncy has worked on many notable projects: in 2006 he worked as an Assistant Project Manager in the successful delivery of the $400 million renovation of the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Ms after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Chauncy is well organized and very efficient with documentation, he serves Horton Construction in this capacity. Chauncy is a people’s person with leadership experience that proves invaluable when it comes to managing a project. In his fraternity, he was the president of the undergraduate chapter while at LSU and he held an office on the regional level. Chauncy has experience that helps him manage projects with detailed accuracy to ensure quality delivery of the product every time. He has coordinated meetings, supervised subcontractor progress, managed change orders and design issues with architect and engineers, executed take-offs in the field and from construction documents, coordinated submittals and approvals, and effective project scheduling.
Brandon Horton is a construction engineer and quality control manager. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana Tech University with a concentration in Construction Engineering Technology. Brandon interned as an Assistant Project Manager during the summers while in school. He also gained valuable work experience as a laborer and carpenter helper; he is also a qualified bulldozer, excavator, backhoe, and boom-lift operator. His field experience helps solve problem encountered in planning and practical work situations. Brandon helps regulate day to day operations in both the office and the field to ensure that a quality product is delivered on time.
Traedarius is a junior at Louisiana Tech University; he is pursuing a degree in Construction Engineering and Technology. Trae manages all tools and equipment necessary for construction. He is company qualified to operate machinery ranging from a back-hoe to a concrete saw. Traedarius is skilled in pouring and finishing concrete in driveways, sidewalks, catch basins and streets. He is an experienced laborer who helps facilitate the everyday trials of construction.
Lorenzo White is the Carpenter Forman for Horton Construction. He is a licensed journeyman carpenter and former union worker. Mr. White is skilled in reading blue prints, setting forms, trim work, framing, and finishing concrete. Lorenzo is a licensed backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, fork-lift, and boom-lift operator. With over 12 years of experience in the industry, Mr. White is a valuable asset to quality productivity in the field. |
